Visiting the site

This website presents Olivier Perceval’s services and experience. It provides no user accounts or contact form. Email and telephone links open your own applications.

This site loads no browser-based audience measurement tool. It uses neither cookies nor local storage for statistics or preferences. You are not asked to consent to browser-based analytics.

Technical logs and page request counts

Delivering a page requires technical processing of your IP address and HTTP request information. Caddy, the web server, can produce logs to monitor site operation, diagnose errors and count requests received for each page. This counting runs no tracking script in your browser.

We rely on a legitimate interest in site operation and security and in limited measurement of page requests. Counts concern received requests, not identifying visitors or tracking them between visits. A request may come from a person or a bot; it does not establish that a particular person read a page.

The intended access log configuration records only the requested path without query parameters, timestamp, HTTP method, response status and technical response information. It removes IP addresses, client ports, HTTP headers and detailed TLS information from the access log. The intended retention is no more than 15 days, through daily rotation and no more than fourteen archives. These logs are not published on the website.

This configuration and rotation must be applied when the site goes live. Other infrastructure logs and hosting backups are separate from this access log and must be limited to operational and security needs and applicable obligations.

Contacting us

If you contact us, we process the contact details and information you provide to answer your request and, where relevant, prepare or deliver services. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract or performing that contract; for other professional enquiries, it is our legitimate interest in responding.

We retain this information as necessary to handle the enquiry and, if a contractual relationship follows, to meet applicable obligations and evidential needs.

Providers and hosting

Technical providers needed for hosting and email may process data to deliver their services. The Hetzner infrastructure specified for this project is in Germany.

Your rights

Subject to GDPR conditions, you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and, where applicable, portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests.
