Rebuilding a business platform

The context

At Mobilosoft, a local marketing platform for businesses with multiple outlets relied on an old version of PHP. Limited documentation and difficult upgrades made it hard to evolve.

The work

As Head of IT, chose a rewrite, designed and developed a new Java/Spring/PostgreSQL platform, and cleaned and migrated customer data. Managed a team of six developers based in Brussels and Madagascar, including technical recruitment, code reviews and mentoring.

The result

The new platform was delivered in mid-2019. Customers were migrated, and the platform continued to evolve after delivery.
